Here’s what’s happening around campus and with your PTSO:

Letter from the PTSO Board

 

Dear PTSO Members and Families,

 

As we begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year, we are asking parents to consider getting involved in PTSO leadership and helping continue the programs and support that make our school community strong.

 

Every year, many parents assume someone else will step forward. Someone else will oversee the budget, organize programs, coordinate volunteers, lead fundraising efforts, advocate for students and teachers, and keep school traditions and support systems running smoothly.

 

But the truth is: there is no “someone else.”

 

A PTSO only functions when parents decide to become the people who make it possible.

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, we are still seeking volunteers for Executive Board roles.

 

These roles are important to continuing many of the programs, events, and support efforts our school community values. Without parent involvement, it becomes much more difficult to sustain the level of support and engagement that benefits our students, teachers, and families.

 

The truth is that every event, fundraiser, staff appreciation effort, family night, classroom support program, and student enrichment opportunity exists because parents before us chose to step in and help.

 

Our school community depends on volunteers who are willing to give their time, ideas, and leadership so these opportunities can continue for our students and families.

This year, we hope more parents will consider becoming part of that effort.

 

Whether you have served before or would be volunteering for the first time, your involvement matters more than you may realize. You do not have to do everything. Co-roles and shared responsibilities are encouraged, and every contribution makes a meaningful difference.

 

If you are interested in serving in an Executive Board role or would like more information about what is involved, please reach out. We would be happy to answer questions and support anyone willing to help.

 

Please fill out this simple survey gauging interest and availability for the next school year. We expect a lot of graduations and turnover this year and depend on returning and new families rising to the occasion in order to continue the mission of the PTSO.

For Lunch Hero Day, the PTSO made little gift bags for each of the cafeteria workers which included snacks, a drink, and a gift card. They also received a homemade cake. All the cafeteria workers were very touched and appreciative of the gifts.

For Principal and Assistant Principal Days, the PTSO provided lunch from The Common Market along with drinks and a homemade cinnamon cake for dessert.

Direct Give: Your Donations Made a Real Difference

We want to thank everyone who supported the PTSO Direct Give campaign this year. We fulfilled numerous teacher grants including items for special classes and clubs, IB and AP class materials, and even a new fridge for the counselors. We have a few more teacher grants to fund this school year!
