Here’s what’s happening around campus and with your PTSO:
- 🗓️ PTSO Meeting Tonight – The next PTSO meeting will be held tonight, Tuesday, April 14 at 7:00 PM and will be virtual via Google Meet. Everyone is welcome—we hope to see you there!
- 📚 National School Librarian Day April 4 was National School Librarian Day, and the PTSO shared gift bags with our librarians to thank them for all they do!
- 💙 Support East Meck – Help us provide grants for classrooms by donating to the PTSO Direct Give Fund at emptso.org/donate.
- 🦅 East Meck 75th Anniversary Celebration Apr. 17 – Join East Mecklenburg High School at 3:30 PM as students, alumni, families, and staff come together to celebrate 75 Years of Excellence and Eagle pride! 💙
- 🧵 Sewing Machines & Supplies Needed – Have a sewing machine or supplies you’re not using? East Meck’s Arts Department needs sewing machines, irons, fabric, scissors, and accessories. Contact Ms. Armstrong if you can help.

PTSO Meeting Tonight!
The next PTSO meeting is tonight, April 14 at 7:00 PM! This meeting will be virtual on Google Meet. To join the video meeting, click this link. National School Librarian Day
April 4 was National School Librarian Day, so the East Meck PTSO distributed gift bags to Mrs. Willams, Ms. Reeder and Ms. Heisey before Spring Break. We are so grateful for all they do to create a welcoming environment and help students learn and gather information.

Jersey Mike's Spirit Night April 23
Next Thursday, April 23, is Jersey Mike's Spirit Night from 4-8 PM at the Oakhurst location. Enjoy Jersey Mike’s for dinner AND support East Meck! All sales at this Jersey Mike’s location will earn money for the East Meck PTSO. Tell your friends and see you there! Supporting East Meck With Our Grant Program
Thank you for supporting East Meck through PTSO donations this year. Our recent PTSO grants funded IB and AP classroom book sets, a subscription to the Scholastic New York Times Magazine for a class, and several $10 gift cards for a 9th grade March Madness Writing Tournament event. We are here to help meet the needs of teachers, faculty, and students.

Celebrating 75 Years of East Meck!
We are excited to invite you to join us as East Mecklenburg High School celebrates 75 Years of Excellence on Friday, April 17, 2026, with events beginning at 3:30 PM. This milestone celebration will bring together current students, families, alumni, former staff, and community members for an evening filled with connection, pride, and Eagle spirit.
This celebration is about honoring our past, celebrating our present, and building our future. We want to reach as many alumni and former staff members as possible. Please:
