Here’s what’s happening around campus and with your PTSO:

  • πŸ“ Exam Schedule & Early Dismissal – Exams run Jan. 8–21 with 12:15pm dismissal starting Jan. 14 (buses run 2 hours early). Normal dismissal resumes Jan. 22.

Dave's Hot Chicken Spirit Night This Thursday, Jan. 15
Join us this Thursday, Jan. 15, from 4-8pm for our first Spirit Night of 2026 at Dave's Hot Chicken at 1300 The Plaza. For in-person purchases, scan the QR code in the flyer below or for online orders, use the code "GIVE" and 20% of your purchase price will be donated to the East Meck PTSO. 

Exam Schedule

Exams began on Jan. 8 and continue from Jan. 12-21. Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 14, students will be dismissed at 12:15pm. Buses will run 2 hours earlier and students who are car riders will need to be picked up at 12:15pm. Normal dismissal will resume at 2:15pm on Jan. 22, which begins the third quarter. Friday, Jan. 23, is a Teacher Workday.

  • Midterms for 2B and 4B Yearlong Classes

  • 2:15 Dismissal 


Tuesday, Jan. 13

  • Midterms for 2A and 4A Yearlong Classes

  • 2:15 Dismissal 


Wednesday, Jan. 14

  • All English 2 Semester Classes Periods 1-4

  • All Math 1 Classes Periods 1-4

  • All 1st Period Semester Long Classes

  • 12:15 Dismissal 


Thursday, Jan. 15

  • All Biology Semester Classes Periods 1-4

  • All Math 3 Semester Classes Periods 1-4

  • All 2nd Period Semester Long Classes

  • 12:15 Dismissal 


Friday, Jan. 16

  • All 3rd Period Semester Long Classes

  • Makeup Tests for Math 1, Math 3, English 2, Biology

  • Re-Engagement for EOCs

  • 12:15 Dismissal 


Monday, Jan. 19 - MLK Holiday (No School)


Tuesday, Jan. 20

  • Retests for Math 1, English 2, 

  • All 4th Period Semester Long Classes

  • 12:15 Dismissal 


Wednesday, Jan. 21

  • Retests for Math 3, Biology

  • Makeup Testing for all Semester Long Classes

  • 12:15 Dismissal
Yearbook Deadline Jan. 31
There are only a couple weeks left to purchase a 2025-2026 yearbook. Go to yearbookforever.com to buy before the deadline, Jan. 31!
Senior Ad Deadline Jan. 31
The last day to purchase a recognition ad in the yearbook for your senior is Jan. 31. It's a great way to put your own personal message for your child in the yearbook, and support the school as well. You upload your images and message, and they do the rest. Do this at the same website where you purchase the yearbook, yearbookforever.com.
