Here’s what’s happening around campus and with your PTSO:
- 🥫 Emergency Food Drive – Help East Meck families! Drop off non-perishables in the Main Office or donate online: PayPal link ». 💙💛
- 🥧 Staff Pie Bar (Nov. 19) – Show love to teachers! Bring NUT-FREE items or donate via PayPal ». Drop off by Nov. 17.
- 💛 East Meck Pride! – We earned a B grade and were named one of Charlotte’s best high schools! Support through emptso.org/donate.
- 🌿 Campus Cleanup (Nov. 8) – Join us 10am–1pm to help beautify campus. Earn service hours and show your Eagle pride!
- 🎓 FAFSA Help – Seniors & families: Get free FAFSA support at library drop-in sessions led by CFNC advisors.
- 🧺 Restore The Nest – Urgent needs: dehumidifier, men’s shoes (7–9), backpacks. Drop off at the front office!

Staff Appreciation Pie Bar Nov. 19
The next Early Release Day is on Wednesday, 11/19. We're putting together a pie bar. Please help us show the teachers and staff how much they're appreciated! NOTE: All items must be NUT FREE! Please review the available slots here and click on the button to sign up. You can also donate money towards these items by using this link.
All donated items should be dropped off in the front office by 11am Monday, 11/17. We will be sorting through all the donated items that morning to see what's missing so please make sure anything you sign up for is in the office by that date.

Campus Cleanup This Saturday!
Come out this Saturday, Nov. 8, to clean up the East Meck campus from 10am to 1pm. Earn service hours for yourself and your club. Please bring supplies if you can! |

East Meck Pride
We are proud of our East Meck family - our school earned a school performance grade of B this past year and was just voted one of the best high schools in Charlotte!
To help support our school, staff and students, the PTSO asks for donations that help provide extra resources that help make East Meck a special place. Where your money goes:

Restore The Nest
The Nest is a clothes closet for East Meck students and their families. Unfortunately, over the summer The Nest trailer was overwhelmed with mildew and many of the items need to be tossed. The rest will need to be thoroughly cleaned and stored elsewhere until we can remedy the situation. Stay tuned for a cleanup day!
We currently have a few urgent needs: a dehumidifier, men's shoes sized 7-9, and backpacks. Please contact Mr. Arias or Rebecca Cheatham if you have any of these to donate. Items can be dropped off at the front office.
