Direct Giving Week
This week is the PTSO’s Direct Giving week. This is your opportunity to directly support East Meck by donating to the Direct Giving campaign — no selling, no buying required. Everything you give goes straight to helping students, teachers, and staff in meaningful ways.
Where your money goes:
- Staff and teacher appreciation
- Teacher grants program (special events, classroom materials, and enrichment)
- Social work support
- Support for seniors and student events

Fall Tailgate Staff Appreciation |

Last week, the East Meck PTSO hosted a Fall Tailgate–themed celebration to show our gratitude for the amazing teachers and staff who support our students every single day. From festive food to fall fun, it was a joyful way to say THANK YOU! We’re so grateful to our volunteers and donors who made this event possible—you are the heart of our East Meck community. Together, we are building a stronger East Meck for our Eagles!

A huge thank you to everyone who donated food, funds, and time to make last week’s Early Release Day teacher and staff event such a success! We couldn’t have done it without your generosity and help — our teachers and staff truly felt the love and appreciation.
If you’d like to get involved in future events, our SignUpGenius is open! The next event will take place on November 19, but you’ll find opportunities listed through June. Feel free to sign up early to reserve your spot and mark your calendar.

Restore The Nest
The Nest is a clothes closet for East Meck students and their families. Unfortunately, over the summer The Nest trailer was overwhelmed with mildew and many of the items need to be tossed. The rest will need to be thoroughly cleaned and stored elsewhere until we can remedy the situation. Stay tuned for a cleanup day!
We currently have a few urgent needs: a dehumidifier, men's shoes sized 7-9, and backpacks. Please contact Mr. Arias or Rebecca Cheatham if you have any of these to donate. Items can be dropped off at the front office.
