Your Donations Make an Impact
Here’s your chance to support our East Meck family with a contribution to the PTSO’s Direct Giving campaign. You can make a direct donation straight to the PTSO general fund—nothing to sell, nothing to buy. Here’s a sampling of what the Direct Giving funds support:
-
Teacher grant program to support their unmet needs
-
Staff appreciation events
-
Supplies, health room necessities, and room decor
-
Grounds upkeep and beautification
-
Various student run activities
Help make an impact! Consider making a tax-deductible donation to the PTSO Direct Giving campaign and check with your employer to see if they will match your gift.
You can drop off a check at the front office or donate online: https://emptso.org/donate |

Need Host Families for French Exchange Students
In mid-October, East Meck will be welcoming close to 20 students from Lille, France. We are in need of host families for a number of these students, from Oct. 16 to Nov. 2. The visiting students will attend school and extracurricular activities with their East Meck host students, but families are responsible for housing and feeding them and incorporating them into their family life during the evenings and weekends. This is a wonderful opportunity for cross-cultural exchange. Your East Meck student does NOT need to be enrolled in French to participate.
If you are interested in hosting a student, please contact the parent coordinator for this exchange: Christine Haynes, at christine.s.haynes@gmail.com. Please plan to attend an organizational meeting for host families on Monday, Sept. 8, at 6pm in the classroom of Ms. Young, room 5302.
Thank you for considering participating in this exciting opportunity for East Meck families! |
