Together We Can Make a Difference
The Direct Giving campaign is East Meck PTSO’s primary fundraiser. You can make an easy, direct donation straight to the PTSO general fund—nothing to sell, nothing to buy. The funds raised for Direct Giving provide extra resources for our students, teachers and staff at East Meck. Here is a sampling of what Direct Giving supports:

Need Host Families for French Exchange Students
In mid-October, East Meck will be welcoming close to 20 students from Lille, France. We are in need of host families for a number of these students, from Oct. 16 to Nov. 2. The visiting students will attend school and extracurricular activities with their East Meck host students, but families are responsible for housing and feeding them and incorporating them into their family life during the evenings and weekends. This is a wonderful opportunity for cross-cultural exchange. Your East Meck student does NOT need to be enrolled in French to participate.
If you are interested in hosting a student, please contact the parent coordinator for this exchange: Christine Haynes, at christine.s.haynes@gmail.com. Please plan to attend an organizational meeting for host families on Monday, Sept. 8, at 6pm in the classroom of Ms. Young, room 5302.
