Staff Appreciation
For the first Early Release Day Staff Meeting on Sept. 25, we're putting together a "Build your own trail mix" bar. Please help us show the teachers and staff how much they're appreciated by signing up to send in items in our SignUpGenius. NOTE: All items must be NUT FREE!
If you sign up to bring in an item, please make sure it is dropped off by Monday, Sept. 23. There will be a box in the front office for you or your student to drop off the donated items. If you have any questions, please email Karen Barnash: KLBarnash@yahoo.com.

Hawthorne’s Spirit Night
Enjoy Hawthorne’s Pizza for dinner AND support East Meck! All sales at the Old Post Road location this Thursday, Sept. 12, from 4-8pm will earn money for the East Meck PTSO. Don’t forget to mention EAST MECK!

PTSO Meeting Schedule
We held our first PTSO meeting of the school year this morning. If you haven’t joined yet, please visit https://emptso.org/support/ to become a member, purchase a yard sign and share your volunteer interests. Please spread the word to help grow our membership. Direct Giving
The annual Direct Giving campaign is East Meck PTSO’s primary fundraiser. It allows you to make an easy, direct donation straight to the PTSO general fund—nothing to sell, nothing to buy. The funds raised for Direct Giving provide extra resources for our children and teachers at East Meck for many things that the school would not otherwise receive. Here is a sampling of what Direct Giving supports:

Supplies, health room necessities, and room decor

Grounds upkeep and beautification

Various student run activities

Yearbooks
Yearbooks are finally for sale and are $80 this year. Make sure you buy a yearbook now, rather than later, to avoid complications. Your student will receive their yearbook at the end of the school year. It will be filled with this year’s events and celebrate the 75th year of East Meck. Senior Portraits
Your last chance to schedule a senior portrait is coming soon! This year we are using CADY, so in order for your Senior to have their portrait made, they must have an appointment through CADY. Schedule this through www.CADY.com/schedule. The deadline is Oct. 15, so book now!
